My name

My nickname is Jacy.  It got started in a fun, creative way.  My older sister, Cathy and I had a barbie doll designer doll business.  We created barbie dolls for nationwide barbie doll shows, barbie doll clubs and events.  It was hard work but great fun!  We were trying to think of a name and I came up with Jacy.  Ja for Jan and cy for Cathy.

Maybe you have a Jacy Original doll.  Here is one from a show in Houston, Texas.  We created a theme and name for each show. Then we designed the outfit for the theme and created the accessories. We made their jewerly, little newspapers, bags, etc.  We stopped doing these when my third child was born.  I was a tad too busy to continue this then . :)  Perhaps we will need to put some of ours up for sale as well.

This is the Texas Rose Barbie #148, bought from a Kitty's Collectible show in Houston, Texas. It is a Jacy Original. She has never been removed from her box, though the plastic top comes off easily and has been removed several times over the years. Her hair is a bit unkept from being tossled around in her box. She has a black cowboy hat, a lasso and comes with a mini newspaper called "The Houston Gazette." This Barbie is in excellent condition, but the box has a bit of wear to it (bent and cracked corners).
Christmas Delights.

As a little girl we always had a live tree. I can still smell those trees if I close my eyes. I loved the look of them and the feel and the smell. Actually sometimes they were a bit prickly and pricked my fingers when hanging the ornaments. We have 4 children and they have enjoyed some live trees including the fun of going out and cutting our own. Over the last several years though we have resorted to having an artificial tree. My sister and her huband own a Christmas tree farm so they always have live trees of ourse.  A coupole of years ago they brought me a live baby tere that I decorated and put on the front porch.

We got our tree up early this year and I thought it was done. Our youngest though, a 4th grade boy who is adorable I might add has been asking for a tree in the family room, not just the living room. Tonight I agreed and my husband brought down our other artificial tree. I said though in a spontaneious move, let's go look at live ones. So Matt, hubby and I went in search of the tree. We brought it home and will decorate it tomorrow evening. It smells good!

Here is our good smelling three.  I'll show it to you after we decorate it as well.
My First Post

Yea!!! Yippee!!  I love reading blogs.  I enjoy that glimpse into others lives and getting to see something they conceived in their mind and then created.  Looking at their rooms and tables and pets, etc. is so interesting.  I get great ideas and have been inspired to share my own.  So let it begin.....:)
